In accordance with the recommendation from the American Dental Association, Dental Care of Salina has decided to postpone all elective dental procedures until April, 6. We feel that in order to do our part to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 we must transition to providing emergency dental care only over this time period.
To minimize the risk of exposure, clinic access will be limited to emergency dental patients only, except for a parent accompanying a minor patient. We will not be utilizing the patient waiting room during this time. Patients will be taken directly back to a disinfected emergency treatment room.
Patients that feel they need to be seen for emergency treatment are asked to call 785-825-6211 and will be screened to determine if an emergency office visit is necessary.
Concentrating on emergency dental care will allow us to care for our emergency patients and alleviate the burden that dental emergencies would place on our hospital emergency department.
We truly value the confidence that you and your families place in our office. Our goal has always been to provide the best dental care possible and we are committed to continuing that at this time. We know that rescheduling these long-standing appointments is frustrating and we apologize for any inconvenience this will cause. In the future we will be working to find ways to create more openings to accommodate our patients in rescheduling appointments.
Thank you for your understanding and trust in our office, we will continue to monitor the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American Dental Association, and Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
